The Mikoyan MiG-25 (NATO reporting name of Foxbat) is a Soviet Russia-era high speed interceptor developed in the 1960s and deployed in the 1970s, designed to shoot down high-speed bomber threats such as the XB-70 Valkyrie. This craft was a terror for the US at the time, who was not aware of the craft's design and flaws. Though, upon receiving the craft from a defector, they soon realized how flawed the craft's design was. (The craft couldn't dogfight effectively, it had a poor range due to its engines devouring fuel, and it had terrible avionics) The MiG-25PDS model (NATO reporting name of Foxbat E) was an upgrade to the Foxbat, released in 1979. This aircraft appears in Airforce Delta Storm and Airforce Delta Strike, being used by Albert Ungar and Rick Campbell in the latter game. This plane was known as the MiG-25PD Foxbat in the former game.
Design[]
This craft has a very recognizable design; it is a large aircraft with two giant rear engines, two large, square-shaped wings, and two straight-standing vertical stabilizers, alongside two rear wings. It also has two large air intakes.
Performance[]
Airforce Delta Storm[]
It's alright for an early game plane. This plane only really has one use; beating The Rising Threat. Otherwise, stats are just kinda meh all around. It also has an upgrade in the form of the MiG-31BM Foxhound, which is superior to this craft in every way. As a result, this plane is below average overall.
Airforce Delta Strike[]
A downgrade compared to its Storm incarnation. Most of its stats are awful except for Speed, Thrust, and Anti Air. Even still, this plane is complete crap at dogfighting (true to real life!). The only saving grace it has going for it is it has the mighty LR-AAM special weapon. However, Rick has other planes with that same special weapon, including the Su-37. Yeah... Needless to say, that plane is far better than this. This plane also has a direct upgrade in the form of, again, the MiG-31BM "Foxhound", which has better stats all around, and a machine gun. Yeah, this plane is bad.

- Albert Ungar uses this plane as his aircraft of choice until Tiger's Cave, where he replaces it with an Su-47. In each of his appearances, he is an optional target.
